Concerto danzante
Can sound be seen? Can a gesture be heard? In the Baroque era, music and dance engaged in such an intimate dialogue that they seemed to merge: each note called for a movement, each step traced a melody. Between precision and expression, choreography became a visible score, while music traced invisible forms in the air. Performed by the 22 musicians of the Les Arts Florissants ensemble, under the baton of violinist Théotime Langlois de Swarte, Venetian concertos by Legrenzi, Uccellini, Lambranzi and Vivaldi will dialogue with a second part devoted entirely to Bach.
On stage, the 24 dancers of the CCN - Ballet de Lorraine will blend music and choreography in a creation by their director Maud Le Pladec and guest artist Josépha Madoki, an iconic figure of waacking in France.
