First part of the diptych Là, sur la falaise

Premiered on 28 June 2018 at the Montpellier Danse festival

With , the Opéra national de Nancy-Lorraine and the Théâtre de la Manufacture welcome another kind of stage language: spoken theatre, bodies in motion and moving images. The Baro devel company creates a free and sensitive world at the crossroads of theatre, dance, circus and music. Alongside Camille Decourtye and Blaï Mateu Trias, the raven Gus introduces a form of strangeness that feels at once deeply tangible and almost unreal. There is no linear story here, but rather a succession of presences, movements and metamorphoses that constantly reshape the audiences gaze. In its orchestral version, the production takes on a particular resonance, affirming on the opera stage a different way of inhabiting space, time and listening itself.
