Marked by movement, discovery and momentum, this evening unfolds as a journey through landscapes, rhythms and colours. With Une Barque sur l’océan, originally composed for the piano cycle Miroirs and later orchestrated by Maurice Ravel himself, the programme opens onto a shifting, shimmering and elusive sea whose ebb and flow are carried by the Orchestra. His Piano Concerto in G, performed by Nathalia Milstein, responds with lively energy, razor-sharp elegance and a freedom of spirit that moves between jazz-inflected brilliance, sparkling virtuosity and suspended lyricism.
With El amor brujo, Manuel de Falla conjures up another South — harsher, darker and more incandescent — shaped by folk rhythms, spells and nocturnal passions. Finally, Boléro brings this journey to a close in an irresistible crescendo of tension, a masterpiece of variation and collective fascination. From one musical landscape to another, the programme invites the listener on a journey where colour itself becomes adventure.
