Bazar Circus
L'Orchestre fait son cirque !
Bazar Circus is a circus on the verge of disaster. On the evening the king takes his seat in the audience, the entire troupe is determined to outdo itself — to shine brighter, go further and dazzle at any cost. Until the moment when Angelo, the human cannonball, is propelled so far that he disappears into the sky. This time, the king has had enough: furious, he immediately banishes the circus from his kingdom. What follows is an odyssey filled with fantasy, momentum and solidarity. Carried by the text of Carl Norac, the voice of Dominique Pinon, live drawings by Juliette Barbanègre and David Pastor’s musical setting, the performance draws audiences into a world where storytelling meets concert performance. From Dmitri Shostakovich to Aram Khachaturian, the music shapes the adventure through bursts of energy, suspended moments and sudden shifts in mood. A joyful, inventive and deeply sensitive way of bringing the orchestra into the ring.
