Concert lecture
Free, tickets on sale September 8. 2026 at 1pm.
Organised by the Opera’s Sustainable Workshop, which raises awareness of major sustainability issues, this concert-lecture proposes a unique format, halfway between the transmission of knowledge and artistic experience. Featuring Evrard Wendenbaum, explorer, photographer, filmmaker and director of Naturevolution, the evening will explore the challenges of biodiversity through a broad and practical approach before focusing on Indonesian Wallacea, a territory of exceptional richness now under threat.
Conceived as a genuine dialogue between lecture and music, the evening gives the Orchestra its full place. The music is not conceived as a mere extension of the spoken word but, on an equal footing with the lecture, it creates a different mode of attention — more sensitive, more open — in which ideas, images and sounds resonate together.
A singular way of approaching these crucial questions, offering reflection a tangible dimension, a breath of fresh air and a particular depth.
