From the stage to the dance floor, from collective momentum to the eruption of bodies in motion, this production places dance under the banner of shared energy, bringing together two choreographic languages united by a taste for collective drive, rhythmic pulse and dance propelled to the point of rapture.
Created in 2001 for the CCN - Ballet de Lorraine, Karole Armitage’s Rave has lost none of its striking visual force: a taut, vibrant dance infused with the spirit of club culture and a fierce sense of freedom carried to white heat.
In counterpoint, L'âge d'or by MazelFreten brings a new intensity to the evening. Brandon Masele and Laura Defretin, leading figures of the electro scene and contemporary urban dance, create a language of dazzling precision in which virtuosity becomes shared pulse, circulating energy and the joy of movement experienced together.
Bringing repertoire and new creation into dialogue, the evening celebrates dance as a collective force: exhilarating, unifying and charged with energy.
